Meet Fiona, Your Tutor
I’m Fiona Samuel, a specialist maths tutor with a First Class degree in Mathematics and a proven track record of helping students achieve outstanding results.
I’ve always wondered why maths wasn’t taught in a simpler, clear way. My approach is to break down tricky ideas into clear, manageable steps, using explanations that feel intuitive for each individual. No two students are the same, so every lesson is tailored – whether that means rebuilding foundations from the ground up or pushing towards the very top grades.
I also have extensive experience working with students with additional educational needs, including Autism, ADHD and Dyscalculia. With the right support, structure and encouragement, these learners have also gone on to achieve some of the highest grades in their cohorts. My goal is the same for every student: to build confidence, clarity and results.
I’ve supported many students, all who achieved 100% A*–A grades at A-level, with 100% Higher GCSE Maths students achieving grade 6 or above and 100% Foundation students achieving at least a grade 5-4. Many of my students go on to receive offers from their first-choice universities and colleges.
In 2019 I was also honoured with an award recognising my potential and promise for the future, which continues to inspire the high standards I bring to my teaching.
